Biodiesel, also known as biodiesel fuel, is a renewable fuel produced from biological sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, or recycled cooking grease. It is typically made through a process called transesterification, where triglycerides from the biological source are reacted with an alcohol, usually methanol, in the presence of a catalyst to produce fatty acid methyl esters (FAME) and glycerol. However, biodiesel also has some limitations. It has a lower energy content than petroleum diesel, which can
