Baronya, officially Baranya County, is a county in southern Hungary. The capital and largest city is Pécs. It borders Croatia to the south and southwest and neighbors the Hungarian counties of Somogy to the west, Tolna to the north, and Bács-Kiskun to the east. The Mecsek mountains run through the county, and the Danube-Drava region lies toward the eastern and southern edges.
