baasR0 is a lightweight Blockchain-as-a-Service (BAAS) platform that was released in 2021 as the foundational prototype for a series of modular, cloud‑based blockchain solutions. It was designed by a small core team of developers to provide developers and businesses with simple, programmable access to distributed ledger technology without the need to run a full node or maintain complex infrastructure.

The core architecture of baasR0 is based on a sandboxed container model that isolates each blockchain instance in its own minimal runtime environment. Each instance runs a reference implementation of the Hyperledger Fabric network, which allows developers to create, deploy, and manage smart contracts using familiar tooling such as the Fabric SDKs for Node.js, Java, and Go.
