aviateuse
An aviateuse is a female aviator, a pilot of an aircraft. The term is of French origin, combining "aviate" (to fly) with the feminine suffix "-euse". While the word itself is less common in modern English, the concept of women actively participating in aviation has a rich history.
The early days of aviation saw a few pioneering women break barriers and take to the skies.
Throughout the 20th century and into the 21st, the number of women in aviation has steadily grown.
