Auslöserreduktion refers to a concept in photography and videography that describes the phenomenon of unwanted movement or vibration being reduced during the operation of the camera's shutter or recording mechanism. This reduction is crucial for achieving sharp images, especially when shooting in low light conditions, at slower shutter speeds, or when using telephoto lenses that can magnify even the slightest tremor.

The primary causes of shutter shock include the mechanical movement of the mirror (in DSLRs) or the shutter curtain itself. This physical action can impart vibrations to the camera body, which are then captured by the sensor. To combat this, various technologies have been developed. In-body image stabilization (IBIS) systems, for instance, can actively counteract these vibrations by moving the sensor in the opposite direction of the detected movement.
