Audiompeg is an open-source software library and command-line utility designed to handle MPEG audio streams. It provides encoding, decoding, transcoding, and metadata handling with a modular, cross-platform architecture.

The project focuses on MPEG audio formats such as MP3 and related variants. It offers a C API and optional bindings for higher-level languages. Core functionality includes decoding MP3 frames, encoding PCM data into MP3, and streaming support.
