Treatment for astigmatism aims to correct the uneven focusing of light. This is most commonly achieved with corrective lenses, such as eyeglasses or contact lenses, which are specifically designed to compensate for the irregular shape of the cornea or lens. In some cases, refractive surgery, like LASIK, may be an option to reshape the cornea and correct the vision problem.
