Assisterede is a Danish verb form that functions as the simple past tense of assistere, meaning to assist or to help. It denotes a completed act of providing assistance in the past. The form is used with all persons: jeg assisterede, du assisterede, han/hun/den/det assisterede, vi assisterede, I assisterede, de assisterede. The corresponding past participle is assisteret, used with have to form the present perfect or pluperfect: har assisteret, havde assisteret.

In modern Danish, assistere is primarily used to mean to help or support, and the sense “to attend” (as in attend an event) is more commonly expressed with deltage or være til stede, though historical or formal texts may show assistere in that sense.
