Asaba is the capital city of Delta State, Nigeria. It is located on the western bank of the Niger River, opposite Onitsha in Anambra State. The city is connected to Onitsha by the Niger Bridge, a major crossing across the Niger River that has long facilitated trade and movement between the two states. Asaba serves as the administrative capital of Delta State and functions as a commercial center for the region, with markets, civil service offices, and smaller manufacturing and service enterprises.
