arusaamadest
Arusaamadest is the elative plural form of the Estonian noun arusaam, meaning “understanding,” “notion,” or “concept.” In standard Estonian, arusaamadest literally means “from understandings” and is used to indicate that something originates in or is derived from multiple understandings or notions. The form is common in academic and formal writing when discussing how different groups interpret a topic or when describing evidence that rests on several conceptions. The corresponding singular elative is arusaamast, used to refer to a single understanding as the source.
Usage notes: Arusaamadest is typically used with verbs that govern the elative or with adjectives describing
