apartiotist

An apartiotist is a person who advocates for or practices apartheid, a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination. This system, most famously implemented in South Africa from 1948 to 1994, classified inhabitants into racial groups and enforced separate living areas, public facilities, and educational institutions for different races. Apartiotists believe in the inherent superiority of one racial group over others and seek to maintain social, economic, and political dominance for that group.

The ideology behind apartiotism often stems from pseudoscientific theories of racial hierarchy and a desire to preserve a particular social order. Historically, apartiotist policies led to severe human rights abuses, including forced removals, denial of political rights, and widespread inequality. The international community largely condemned apartheid and apartiotist movements, imposing sanctions and diplomatic pressure. While the official system of apartheid in South Africa has ended, the term apartiotist can still be used to describe individuals or groups who hold similar beliefs or promote discriminatory practices based on race or ethnicity, even in different contexts.
