Aoide is a figure from Greek mythology, one of the original Muses. According to some traditions, she was one of the three Muses alongside Melete and Mneme, who were daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne. Other accounts suggest there were nine Muses, and in this later and more widely accepted version, Aoide is not typically listed as one of them.
