Alkutekijät, in Finnish, refers to the prime factors of a number. A prime factor is a prime number that divides a given integer without leaving a remainder. Every integer greater than one can be uniquely expressed as a product of its prime factors, a fundamental concept in number theory known as the fundamental theorem of arithmetic. For example, the alkutekijät of 12 are 2, 2, and 3 because 2 x 2 x 3 = 12, and 2 and 3 are prime numbers.
Determining the alkutekijät of a number is a common task in mathematics, often referred to as prime
