algtegurite

Algtegurite is a term used in some contexts, particularly in older or less common mathematical literature, to refer to what is more commonly known as prime factors or prime divisors. An algtegur is a prime number that divides another integer exactly, meaning there is no remainder. For example, the algtegurite of 12 are 2 and 3, as 12 can be expressed as the product of these prime numbers (12 = 2 x 2 x 3). The process of finding all the algtegurite of a number is called prime factorization. Every integer greater than 1 has a unique prime factorization, a fundamental concept in number theory. The number 1 is not considered to have algtegurite. Prime numbers themselves are only divisible by 1 and themselves, so their only algtegur is the number itself.
