Zonaquils

Zonaquils are a fictional species of sentient, herbivorous creatures from the planet Xylos in the Starfinder RPG setting. They are characterized by their plant-like physiology, resembling large, walking fungi or moss formations. Zonaquils possess a unique method of communication, utilizing bioluminescent patterns and pheromonal signals. They are generally peaceful and reclusive, preferring to live in symbiotic relationships with the flora of their homeworld. Their diet consists exclusively of plant matter, which they absorb through specialized root-like appendages.

The social structure of Zonaquils is communal, with individuals forming interconnected colonies. They share resources and knowledge through a complex network of subterranean fungal growths. While not technologically advanced in a conventional sense, they possess a deep understanding of Xylos's ecosystem and can manipulate plant life to suit their needs.
