Zgjeruara is an Albanian term that can function as the feminine form of the past participle zgjeruar, which comes from the verb zgjer- meaning to extend or expand. As an adjective, zgjeruara denotes that something has been enlarged or broadened, typically agreeing with feminine nouns (for example, një zonë zgjeruara, “an expanded zone”). In some technical registers, zgjeruara can also be used as a noun to mean “the expansion” or “the enlarged area,” though this nominal use is less common outside formal contexts.
