Yumtso
Yumtso, also spelled Yumtso or Yamdrok Yumtso (Tibetan: Yumtso), is a high-altitude freshwater lake in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is traditionally regarded as one of Tibet's three largest sacred lakes and is an important pilgrimage site in Tibetan Buddhism. The Tibetan name translates roughly as Turquoise Lake, a reference to the lake's vivid blue-green waters.
