Yhdistelmälogiikkaelementtien, or combinational logic elements in English, are fundamental building blocks in digital electronics. These are electronic circuits that produce an output signal which is solely dependent on the current input signals. They do not possess memory, meaning their output at any given moment is determined by the present combination of inputs, and they do not retain any information about past inputs. This contrasts with sequential logic elements, which incorporate memory and whose outputs depend on both current inputs and the history of previous inputs.

Common examples of yhdistelmälogiikkaelementtien include basic logic gates such as AND, OR, NOT, XOR, NAND, and NOR gates. These gates perform simple Boolean operations on one or more binary inputs to produce a single binary output. Beyond these fundamental gates, more complex combinational circuits can be constructed by interconnecting these basic elements. For instance, a multiplexer selects one of several input signals and forwards it to a single output, based on the value of control signals.
