Artificial cell fusion is typically achieved using methods such as the application of polyethylene glycol (PEG) or by electrofusion, where brief electrical pulses cause cell membranes to merge. The resulting yhdistelmäsolut, often called hybridomas when involving antibody-producing B cells and myeloma cells, are valuable tools.
