Yarendorf

Yarendorf is a municipality in the district of Borken, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is located approximately 30 kilometers west of Borken and 5 kilometers east of the Dutch border.

Yarendorf was formed in 1934 through the merger of two neighboring villages, Gut Lütweßeln and Hof Rechterfeld. Prior to the merger, these villages consisted of small farmsteads and low-lying land used for livestock grazing and agricultural purposes.

Today, Yarendorf is primarily a rural agricultural community with a strong focus on livestock farming and crop production. Local farmers cultivate a range of crops, including sugar beets, potatoes, and cereals.

Recreational activities in Yarendorf center around the countryside. Residents and visitors can engage in various outdoor pursuits, such as hiking, birdwatching, and horseback riding, which allow individuals to explore the rolling hills and wooded areas surrounding the village.

In terms of infrastructure, Yarendorf is relatively small, with approximately 1,300 residents.
