Witiza

Witiza, also spelled Wittiza, was a Visigothic king associated with the late seventh and early eighth centuries in the Iberian Peninsula. The historical record for this period is fragmentary, and Witiza’s existence and reign are documented mainly in later medieval chronicles rather than contemporary sources. As a result, dates and details of his rule vary among scholars.
