WTORegeln refers to the rules and regulations governing the World Trade Organization (WTO). The WTO is an international organization that oversees global trade agreements, acting as a forum for governments to negotiate trade deals and settle trade disputes. Its core function is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly, predictably, and freely as possible.

The foundational principles of the WTO are enshrined in a series of trade agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world's trading nations. These agreements cover a wide range of trade-related issues, including goods, services, and intellectual property. Key among these are the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT), the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), and the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS).

Central to WTORegeln are principles such as non-discrimination, which includes Most-Favoured-Nation (MFN) treatment and National Treatment. MFN treatment means that a WTO member must grant the same trade advantages to all other WTO members. National Treatment requires that imported goods, once they have entered the market, should be treated no less favorably than domestically produced like products. Predictability is another crucial element, achieved through binding commitments on tariffs and other trade barriers, and through transparency in trade policies.

The WTO also provides a framework for resolving trade disputes among its member governments. This dispute settlement system is designed to be predictable and fair, based on the WTO agreements themselves. The rules aim to ensure that trade relations are conducted in an orderly manner, contributing to global economic growth and development.
