Výstupní

Výstupní is a Czech adjective derived from the noun výstup, which can mean exit or output depending on context. As an attributive term it denotes a relationship to the noun it modifies and is commonly used in technical and everyday language. The exact meaning is usually clear from the surrounding words, for example výstupní data refers to information produced by a process, while výstupní dveře denotes exit doors.

In information technology and electronics, výstupní is frequent in phrases such as výstupní zařízení (output device), výstupní port (output port), výstupní signál (output signal) and výstupní soubor (output file). The term also appears in areas like finance and logistics, for instance výstupní poplatek (exit fee) or výstupní doklady (exit documents). The same adjective can describe any component, pathway, or document associated with leaving a system or delivering results.

The opposite form is vstupní, meaning input, and the pair vstupní–výstupní is used to describe data, goods, or people as they move through stages of a process or system. Výstupní is typically written in lowercase within sentences, and is capitalized only when it starts a sentence or appears in a title.
