Vérzsákokhoz

Vérzsákokhoz, commonly referred to as blood bags, are sterile, single-use medical devices used for the collection, storage, and transfusion of blood and its components. They are typically made of flexible plastic materials, such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), designed to maintain the viability of blood cells and plasma. The design of a blood bag system usually includes a primary bag where the blood is collected and one or more satellite bags connected via sterile tubing. These satellite bags allow for the separation of whole blood into its constituent parts, such as red blood cells, platelets, and plasma, through a process called centrifugation.

The manufacturing of blood bags adheres to strict quality control standards to ensure sterility and prevent contamination. Before use, blood bags are inspected for any damage, discoloration, or leaks. Once filled with blood, they are stored under controlled temperature conditions to preserve the blood's quality. Transfusion of blood from a blood bag is performed using a sterile set that connects the bag to the patient's intravenous line.
