Välilevyistä
Välilevyistä, colloquially known as slipped or herniated discs, are common spinal conditions. A spinal disc is a soft, gel-like cushion located between the vertebrae in the spine. These discs act as shock absorbers and allow for flexibility. A välilevy occurs when the soft inner material of the disc protrudes or bulges through a tear in the tougher outer layer. This protrusion can press on nearby nerves, leading to pain, numbness, or weakness.
The causes of välilevyt can be varied, including age-related degeneration, sudden strain from lifting heavy objects
Diagnosis typically involves a physical examination and imaging tests such as MRI or CT scans to visualize
