Vyprazdování

Vyprazdňování, commonly referred to as defecation or bowel movement, is the final step in the process of digestion. It is the elimination of feces from the body. This process is a natural bodily function and is essential for maintaining health. The frequency and consistency of bowel movements can vary greatly among individuals and can be influenced by diet, hydration, physical activity, and overall health.

The process begins in the large intestine where waste material, or feces, is formed. This waste consists of undigested food particles, bacteria, and water. As the feces move through the colon, water is absorbed, leading to solidification. Once the feces reach the rectum, the final section of the large intestine, the urge to defecate is felt. This urge is triggered by the stretching of the rectal walls.

When the urge is acted upon, the anal sphincters, muscles that control the opening of the anus, relax. The abdominal muscles can also contract to increase intra-abdominal pressure, which aids in expelling the feces. This expulsion of feces from the anus is the act of vyprazdňování. Following the movement, the sphincters return to their normal contracted state. Disruptions in this process can lead to conditions such as constipation or diarrhea.
