Vollstreckungsauftrag
Vollstreckungsauftrag, translated as "enforcement order" or "order for execution" in English, is a legal document in German-speaking countries. It initiates the formal process of enforcing a court judgment or other legally binding title. This order is issued by a competent court or a bailiff upon application by the creditor. The purpose of the Vollstreckungsauftrag is to authorize and direct an enforcement officer, typically a bailiff (Gerichtsvollzieher), to take specific actions to satisfy the creditor's claim. These actions can include seizing assets, levying bank accounts, or evicting a tenant. The Vollstreckungsauftrag details the specific claim to be enforced, the debtor, the creditor, and the prescribed enforcement measures. It is a crucial step in debt collection and the realization of legal claims when voluntary payment is not forthcoming. The debtor is generally notified of the Vollstreckungsauftrag and the intended enforcement actions.
