Voicea was a technology company that developed an AI-powered meeting assistant designed to capture, organize, and summarize business conversations. The company’s flagship product, EVA, served as an enterprise voice assistant that could join meetings, provide real-time transcription, identify speakers, and generate concise, searchable meeting notes and action items.

Its platform leveraged natural language processing and machine learning to extract decisions, responsibilities, and follow-up tasks from conversations. EVA produced automated summaries and highlights, enabled keyword search across transcripts, and offered integrations with common productivity tools and calendars to help teams track outcomes and deadlines.

In 2019, Cisco Systems announced the acquisition of Voicea to augment Webex with AI-powered meeting capabilities. After the acquisition, Voicea technology formed the basis of Webex Assistant for Meetings, delivering transcripts, meeting highlights, and action-item tracking within Webex Meetings. The deal marked a notable step in the development of AI-assisted enterprise collaboration.
