Visibilitats
Visibilitats, in Catalan and in general discourse on visibility, denotes the plural of visibilitat, the state or quality of being visible. In everyday language it refers to what can be seen in a given context, while in specialized fields it carries more specific meanings tied to perception, representation, and access. In geography and urban planning, visibilitat describes the line of sight from a given point: which streets, buildings, or landscapes are visible from a vantage point, and how this changes with time of day or foliage and seasonal conditions. This is operationalized through viewshed analysis and other GIS methods used to evaluate sightlines for safety, wayfinding, tourism, and heritage conservation.
In cultural studies and design, visibilitats refer to how social groups, places or practices are made visible
Practice and research typically consider practical outcomes, such as improving navigability in cities, ensuring the visibility
