Virtsaurans
Virtsaurans are a hypothetical species of terrestrial, bipedal, herbivorous saurischian dinosaurs that inhabited Earth during the Late Cretaceous period. Their classification is based on a series of speculative fossil fragments, primarily ossified pelvic structures and partial limb bones, discovered in various geological formations across North America. These fragments suggest a creature of moderate size, perhaps comparable to a large emu or a small ostrich, with adaptations for a digitigrade stance. The name "Virtsauran" is derived from the Latin "viridis," meaning green, and "saurus," meaning lizard, reflecting the presumed coloration and reptilian ancestry.
Paleontological analysis of the limited evidence points towards a diet consisting mainly of fibrous plant material.
