Virtajänniteominaiskäyrät, often translated as current-voltage characteristics, describe the relationship between the electrical current flowing through a component and the voltage across it. This relationship is fundamental to understanding the behavior of electronic devices and circuits. For a simple resistor, this relationship is linear, following Ohm's Law where current is directly proportional to voltage. The graph of this relationship, with voltage on the x-axis and current on the y-axis, is a straight line passing through the origin.
