Viðskiptalögum refers to the body of law governing commercial and business activities in Iceland. This legal framework encompasses a wide range of regulations designed to facilitate and regulate trade, contracts, and corporate structures. Key areas within viðskiptalögum include company law, contract law, intellectual property law, competition law, and bankruptcy law. The primary objective is to ensure fair practices, protect the rights of businesses and consumers, and maintain stability within the economic system.
