Vetítéstechnika

Vetítéstechnika refers to the technology and methods used to project images or video onto a surface, typically a screen. This process involves a light source, an optical system, and an image source. Historically, early forms of projection included the magic lantern, which used oil lamps or candles to illuminate hand-painted slides. The development of electricity and more advanced optics led to improvements in brightness and clarity.

Modern vetítéstechnika primarily relies on digital projectors. These devices create images using either a digital micromirror device (DMD) chip, found in DLP projectors, or liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) or liquid crystal display (LCD) panels. The light source in these projectors can be a lamp (like mercury vapor or metal halide), LEDs, or lasers. Lasers offer the longest lifespan and brightest output. The projector then uses lenses to focus and enlarge the image onto the viewing surface.

The choice of projection technology depends on the application, ranging from home entertainment systems and business presentations to large-scale cinematic displays and architectural projections. Key factors influencing the selection include resolution, brightness (measured in lumens), contrast ratio, color accuracy, and the ability to project in different ambient light conditions. Projection surfaces themselves also vary, from standard white screens to specialized screens designed to enhance brightness or contrast.
