Venturiputkessa

Venturiputkessa is a geological feature and former riverbed located in Eastern Finland, along the border with Russia. The site was formed as a result of tectonic movements and glacial erosion. During the last ice age, the area was carved out by a massive river that flowed through it.

In the post-glacial period, the riverbed was abandoned and left to fill with sediment. Over time, the Venturiputkessa has changed significantly, shifting from a river to a lake and eventually drying up.
