Venezuelans

Venezuelans are the citizens and nationals of Venezuela, a country located on the northern coast of South America. The Venezuelan population is a diverse mix of ethnic groups, primarily descended from indigenous peoples, European colonizers (especially Spanish), and Africans brought to the region during the colonial era through the transatlantic slave trade. Over time, there has been significant intermarriage and cultural blending, resulting in a predominantly mestizo (mixed European and indigenous ancestry) population.

In addition to these primary groups, Venezuela has also experienced immigration from various parts of the world, including Italy, Portugal, China, and other Latin American countries, further contributing to its cultural mosaic. This diverse heritage is reflected in Venezuelan music, cuisine, traditions, and languages. Spanish is the official language, though indigenous languages are also spoken by some communities.
