Veggjalda
Veggjalda is a term originating from Old Norse, often translated as "wall protector" or "shield wall." It refers to a defensive formation employed by Norse warriors, particularly during battles where close-quarters combat was prevalent. This formation involved warriors standing shoulder to shoulder, holding their shields outwards to create a cohesive barrier.
