Vattenseparerare
A vattenseparerare, or water separator, is a device used to remove water from a fluid. This is typically achieved through a process of gravity separation. The principle behind a vattenseparerare relies on the fact that water is denser than most common liquids it might be mixed with, such as fuel or oil. When the mixture enters the separator, the flow is slowed down, allowing gravity to act on the suspended water droplets. These heavier water droplets settle to the bottom of the separator. The separator then collects this accumulated water in a separate chamber or sump, from which it can be periodically drained.
Vattenseparerare are commonly found in applications where water contamination can cause significant problems. For instance, in
