Varieerumisel

Varieerumisel is an Estonian term that means “in variation” or “during the process of varying.” It is the adessive form of the noun varieerumine, which denotes variation, diversification, or the act of varying. The construction combines the root varieerume- with the noun-forming suffix -umine, and the adessive suffix -misel (resulting in varieerumisel) to express the sense of “in/at during variation.”

In usage, varieerumisel appears primarily in formal or technical writing. It is common in fields such as biology, ecology, linguistics, and statistics when writers describe a phase or context in which variation occurs or is observed. The term helps to specify that a phenomenon is occurring within a changing or variable set of conditions, rather than referring to variation as a standalone noun.
