Valyriandescended refers to individuals or groups who claim lineal descent from the Valyrians, the ancient dragonlords of Essos. This lineage is highly sought after and carries significant prestige within the world of Game of Thrones. Those who are Valyriandescended often exhibit distinctive traits, such as silver-gold hair, violet eyes, and a natural affinity for dragons, though these are not always present.

The Valyrian Freehold was a powerful civilization that existed thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones.
