Valtuuttamat

Valtuuttamat is a Finnish term describing individuals who have not been granted authorization to act on behalf of another person or organization. The term is used in legal, administrative, and financial contexts and contrasts with valtuutetut, those who have received authorization (for example through a valtuutus, or power of attorney, or delegation).

In practice, someone who is valtuuttamat cannot legally perform actions that require another party's authorization, such as signing contracts, accessing accounts, or making decisions on another's behalf, unless there is a separate written valtuutus or another lawful basis. Institutions typically verify authorization by checking the valtuutus document, identification, and possibly additional safeguards.
