Vaihejännitteiden

Vaihejännitteiden refers to the voltages present between different phases in a polyphase electrical system. In a three-phase system, for example, there are three alternating currents that are out of phase with each other by 120 degrees. Vaihejännitteiden are the voltage measurements taken between any two of these phases. These voltages are crucial for the operation of three-phase motors, generators, and power distribution networks. The relationship between vaihejännitteiden and the line-to-neutral voltage (also known as phase voltage) is dependent on the configuration of the electrical system, typically either a wye (star) or delta connection. In a wye connection, the line-to-line voltage is the square root of three times the line-to-neutral voltage. In a delta connection, the line-to-line voltage is equal to the line-to-neutral voltage.
