Vaccinatiestatus is a term used to describe an individual’s vaccination record and its standing relative to applicable immunization schedules. It denotes which vaccines have been given, when they were administered, and the sufficiency and credibility of the evidence used to prove vaccination.

Status categories commonly used include complete, partial, overdue, and invalid or exempt. For international travel, education, or employment, portable proofs of vaccinatiestatus such as certificates or digital records may be required.

Data sources include immunization information systems (IIS), electronic health records, clinic and pharmacy records, and, where needed, self-reported histories verified by documentation.
