VVS

VVS is an acronym that can refer to several different things, depending on the context. In the Nordic and Scandinavian building-services sector, VVS stands for heating, ventilation and sanitation. In Swedish, Norwegian and Danish usage, the term denotes the trades, products and installations involved in warming systems, ventilation equipment and sanitary installations. In military terminology, VVS stands for Voenno-Vozdushnye Sily, the Air Forces of the Soviet Union and, later, of Russia. The term is common in historical and contemporary references to the air arm. Since 2015, Russia reorganized its air and space capabilities under the Aerospace Forces, abbreviated VKS, but VVS remains encountered in older sources and some discussions.
