VTV

VTV, or Vietnam Television, is the national television broadcaster of Vietnam. It is a state-owned media organization that operates multiple television channels and digital platforms. Based in Hanoi, it serves as a primary source of national news and public affairs, as well as entertainment and cultural programming.

The network's main channels include VTV1, VTV2, VTV3, and VTV4. VTV1 focuses on news and public affairs; VTV2 covers economics, science, and life; VTV3 broadcasts entertainment, sports, and youth-oriented programming; VTV4 is the international service aimed at overseas Vietnamese and international audiences. In addition to national channels, VTV operates regional channels and local stations across the country.

VTV distributes content via terrestrial and satellite broadcasts, as well as online streaming through the VTV Go platform and related apps. It also produces a wide range of original programming, including news programs, dramas, documentaries, and variety shows. VTV News is the network's flagship news division, delivering daily national and international updates.

As the national broadcaster, VTV plays a central role in Vietnam's media landscape and cultural outreach, including content for diaspora audiences through VTV4 and online platforms. It participates in international co-productions and distribution with other broadcasters, and retains editorial independence within the bounds of state oversight.
