VLANrajapintoja
VLANrajapintoja, also known as VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP), is a networking protocol used to manage Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) in a switched network. It was developed by Cisco Systems and is primarily used to maintain a consistent VLAN configuration across multiple switches within a network. VTP operates by using a client-server model, where one or more switches act as VTP servers, and the rest act as VTP clients. The VTP server is responsible for maintaining the VLAN database and distributing it to the VTP clients.
VTP operates over trunk links, which are connections between switches that carry traffic for multiple VLANs.
VTP has three modes of operation: server, client, and transparent. In server mode, the switch can create,
VTP is a proprietary protocol developed by Cisco, and it is not compatible with non-Cisco switches. This
