Vävnadsreaktion

Vävnadsreaktion refers to the biological response of living tissue to foreign material or injury. When the body encounters a substance or experiences damage, it initiates a series of complex cellular and molecular processes to isolate, neutralize, or repair the affected area. This reaction is a fundamental aspect of the immune system and wound healing.

The initial phase of a vävnadsreaktion often involves inflammation. This is characterized by redness, swelling, heat, and pain, as blood flow increases to the site and immune cells migrate to combat the foreign agent or initiate repair. Macrophages and neutrophils are key players in this early inflammatory response, engulfing debris and pathogens.

Depending on the nature of the stimulus, the vävnadsreaktion can progress in different ways. If the foreign material is successfully eliminated or the injury is repaired, the inflammation subsides.
