Vähennysväriavi

Vähennysväriavi is a term that refers to a specific type of dye or pigment used in certain artistic and industrial applications. It describes a coloring agent that achieves its hue by selectively absorbing certain wavelengths of light and reflecting others. This process, known as subtractive color mixing, is fundamental to how many materials appear colored to the human eye.

In contrast to additive color mixing, where colors are created by combining light, subtractive colorants work by removing or "subtracting" specific colors from white light.
