Változtatva

Változtatva is a Hungarian verbal participle derived from the verb változtat, meaning to change. It is formed with the suffix -va/-ve, which creates an adverbial or participial form that marks a relationship to the action of changing. The word conveys either that something has been changed (a state resulting from a change) or that it was changed in the manner described, depending on context. Unlike finite verb forms that carry subject and tense, változtatva centers on the action’s result or the manner of the action and is often used in subordinate clauses or paired with forms of the auxiliary lenni (van, volt, lesz) to express a state resulting from a change, e.g., változtatva van = has been changed.

In usage, változtatva is more common in formal, technical, or literary Hungarian and is relatively rare in everyday speech. For straightforward change of state, speakers often prefer megváltoztatott (modified) as an attributive adjective or változott/megváltozott in predicative use.
