Uskonyhteisö

Uskonyhteisö is a Finnish term that translates to "religious community" or "faith community". It refers to a group of individuals who share a common set of religious beliefs, practices, and often a particular spiritual or ethical framework. These communities can vary widely in size, structure, and theological orientation, encompassing everything from large, established denominations to smaller, more localized groups.

The core of an uskonyhteisö lies in its shared identity and commitment to a particular faith. This status can grant them certain rights and responsibilities, such as the ability to collect membership fees (kirkollisvero, or church tax, for the Evangelical Lutheran and Orthodox churches) and to be involved in official religious education.
