Unterkomplexe, also known as subcomplexes, are smaller, more specific groupings within a larger complex. In the context of biology, a complex refers to a large group of organisms that share certain characteristics. An unterkomplex, therefore, is a subgroup within this complex that shares additional, more specific characteristics.
